PURPOSE & OPERATION

What the package does

Fuel gas quality and supply conditions influence the reliable operation of turbines, engines and other combustion equipment. The package brings liquid separation, filtration, heating, pressure regulation and metering into a coordinated treatment system selected around the consumer’s fuel gas specification.

ENGINEERING & INTEGRATION

How it fits your facility

The design basis considers minimum, normal and maximum gas flow, inlet conditions and the required delivery pressure and temperature. Filtration arrangements, heating duty and protection functions are coordinated with the receiving equipment. Access for element replacement, instrumentation and operating interfaces forms part of package definition.

Typical process sequence

  1. Gas inlet & shutdown valve
  2. Knockout drum / scrubber
  3. Filter coalescer
  4. Fuel gas heater
  5. Pressure control & metering

Illustrative sequence; final equipment and routing follow the agreed process design.

Typical applications

  • Gas turbines
  • Engines and generators
  • Burners and utility systems

Package considerations

  • Duty/standby filtration
  • Fuel gas heating
  • Pressure control and metering

Design inputs to prepare

  • Gas composition and flow
  • Inlet pressure and temperature
  • Consumer OEM fuel gas specification

The final process configuration, materials, design codes and performance requirements are established against the agreed design basis and client specification.
